We design the test and pick who runs it. We do not sell separators or truck time.
Hub · DST
Drill stem testing and formation-test planning.
A DST is a downhole experiment. Treat it like one: tool string, cushion, flow/shut-in sequence, and a recovery plan — then pick the house that can run that string.
Alberta focus; Calgary / Edmonton-area operators and consultants. Saskatchewan and BC welcome.

Results packaged for decisions — not a chart dump from the lease.
Formation tests fail in predictable ways: the wrong cushion, a packer seat that was never realistic, a flow period too short to see the reservoir, or a shut-in that is sacrificed to a rig-cost panic. Those are program failures, not bad luck.
We plan DST, closed-chamber, and underbalanced tests around the fluid you expect, the H2S you might see, and the decision (mobility, fluids, pressures, or a go/no-go). Vendor matching follows the tool and safety envelope — not a preferred truck brand.
Closed-chamber and underbalanced variants are in the same conversation when surface handling or sour exposure makes a conventional flow period the wrong idea. We will say so before you bid the work.

- Flow / shut-in / cushion designed to the question
- Closed-chamber and underbalanced options when they fit

Welltest Advisory provides independent program design, vendor matching, coordination, and data-package support. Licensed service companies perform field work, operate equipment, and hold the relevant tickets. AER-aware language on this site is planning guidance, not legal, regulatory, or engineering stamp advice.

FAQ
Do you own DST tools?
No. We plan the test and match you to licensed DST / formation-testing companies. Independence is the point.
When is closed-chamber the better call?
When surface handling, sour exposure, or a short mobility screen matters more than an extended flow. We flag it in the outline.
Can you sit the test?
Yes — independent wellsite oversight is a scoped package, separate from the service company on the tools.
