We design the test and pick who runs it. We do not sell separators or truck time.
Hub · program design
Well test program design for Western Canada operators.
Start with the decision you need to make — not with a truck on the lease. We design the test, name who should run it, and define the data package before anyone mobilizes.
Alberta focus; Calgary / Edmonton-area operators and consultants. Saskatchewan and BC welcome.

Results packaged for decisions — not a chart dump from the lease.
Most well-test spend is locked in before the first gauge is hung. A production-testing company will bring the iron they own. A completions engineer will inherit last year’s program. Neither is a substitute for writing the test against the actual decision: go/no-go, frac redesign, deliverability, or a regulatory file.
Welltest Advisory is an independent design desk. We do not sell separators, tanks, or flare stacks. We specify the program, shortlist vendors who can actually execute it, stay on the execution, and hand back a package your reservoir and completions people can use.
Typical inputs: well type and status, H2S expectation, objective (DFIT, DST, flowback, production, other), timeline, and any AER or partner constraints you already know. Typical output: a program outline within one business day, then a scoped plan, vendor path, and oversight option.
- Objective first — DFIT, DST, flowback, AOF, or a hybrid
- Vendor-neutral package and duration recommendations
- H2S / sour and Alberta regulatory flags called early
- Oversight and data-package scope written in, not bolted on
- Program outline within 1 business day
Welltest Advisory provides independent program design, vendor matching, coordination, and data-package support. Licensed service companies perform field work, operate equipment, and hold the relevant tickets. AER-aware language on this site is planning guidance, not legal, regulatory, or engineering stamp advice.

FAQ
Do you run the test yourself?
No. Licensed service companies run the iron. We design the program, help you pick the vendor, and can provide independent oversight.
What do I get in one business day?
A program outline: recommended test type, key constraints, likely vendor class, and what we still need from you to lock the plan.
Can you work with a vendor we already use?
Yes. Independence means we are not selling their equipment. If your incumbent is the right fit, we say so and still write a cleaner program around them.
